ICT SHSM student Rachel Philipose led an introductory programming experience to members of STA's Girls Who Code (GWC) club.

This year GWC has been running primarily as a virtual club, and this workshop was designed to allow students to interact and collaborate in person.  It was also a chance to have student's try something different by programming a  Sphero Bolt.

The Bolt can be programmed using a block based language so it's great as a way of playing with and learning code.

Rachel is a grade 12 ICT SHSM student interested in a career in computer science.  She organized the workshop as a way of sharing her passion with others.
